Governor Gretchen Whitmer has proposed an $88.1 billion budget for FY 2027 that includes tax increases on tobacco, vaping, internet gaming, sports betting, and digital advertising, as well as targeted tax relief for seniors and low-income families, in order to shield Medicaid, boost literacy, and cut costs for seniors and families.
