New documents released by the U.S. Justice Department allegedly expose Virgin Islands Delegate Stacey Plaskett, a Democrat, for being linked to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted child sex offender and former financier who died in 2019.
In a Friday press release, the Justice Department announced the public release of more than 3 million pages related to Epstein as part of the department’s response to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Donald Trump signed into law in November.
“More than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images are included in today’s additional publication,” the Justice Department stated. “Combined with prior releases, this makes the total production nearly 3.5 million pages released in compliance with the Act.”
The Post Millennial reported that the new Epstein documents include an email chain between Plaskett and Lesley Groff, Epstein’s former executive assistant, regarding a potential meeting on Epstein’s island.
In an email from August 14, 2014, Groff asked the Democrat delegate, “Hello Stacey, just circling back…will you be able to meet with Jeffrey on his island on Monday Aug. 18th at 11am? Erika, if Stacey is available for this, will you be going as well? Wasn’t sure.”
In response to the email, Plaskett wrote, “I thought I responded yes I will be available. Please share details on time and transportation to Jeffrey.”

However, on August 15, 2014, an email requested that Plaskett be able to “meet with JEE at the office rather than on the island” due to her schedule “looking fairly tight.” One of Epstein’s associates responded, saying, “Jeffrey says the Office is fine to meet at.”
The new documents linking Plaskett to Epstein come after previous documents revealed that the Democrat delegate had exchanged text messages with Epstein during the 2019 impeachment proceedings led by Democrats in the House of Representatives, according to The Post Millennial. The outlet noted that the text messages were exchanged during a House Oversight Committee hearing featuring Michael Cohen, a former Trump associate.
The Post Millennial reported that the documents previously released by the Trump administration claim that Epstein gave Plaskett suggestions for questions to ask Cohen with regard to other associates of Trump that could potentially be interviewed by the House Oversight Committee. In response to the allegations, Plaskett’s office explained that the Democrat delegate “received texts from staff, constituents and the public at large offering advice, support and in some cases partisan vitriol, including from Epstein.”
The Democrat delegate’s office added, “The congresswoman has previously made clear her long record combating sexual assault and human trafficking, her disgust over Epstein’s deviant behavior and her support for his victims.”
