A new report claims that Lance Twiggs, the transgender romantic partner and roommate of Tyler Robinson, the alleged assassin of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, is no longer under protection by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
According to Fox News, a law enforcement source told the outlet that Twiggs, who has not been charged in the assassination case, is no longer under FBI protection. The outlet noted that the FBI has not publicly announced why Twiggs is no longer under the FBI’s protection.
One of Twiggs’ family members told News Nation that she had doubts regarding his cooperation with law enforcement officials as part of the investigation into Kirk’s assassination.
“When I first found out about how he was taken in and talked to by the police, I know that they said that he was very cooperative,” the family member said. “But they had to go get him and bring him in. He didn’t voluntarily go in and say, hey, I heard about this and I have some knowledge. He handed over things when they asked for them, but he didn’t give up any information until he had to.”
Fox News reported that a relative of the transgender individual previously confirmed that the 22-year-old moved into a townhome in St. George, Utah, with multiple roommates after being kicked out by his father at the age of 18 and living with his grandparents. The relative told Fox News that Twiggs was undergoing the process of becoming transgender at the time he moved into the townhome.

According to Fox News, Twiggs’ relative claimed that the 22-year-old struggled with his gender identity, abused drugs and alcohol, and had a video game addiction. However, the relative claimed that prior to Robinson moving in and Twiggs’ other roommates moving out, the 22-year-old had successfully paid his rent and maintained his job. The relative also confirmed that Twiggs and Robinson had a romantic relationship.
Robinson currently faces charges of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child, and two counts of obstruction of justice after he allegedly shot and killed Kirk during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10.
According to court documents obtained by Fox News, Robinson allegedly texted Twiggs before Kirk’s assassination, asking his partner and roommate to “look under” a keyboard to find a handwritten note. The note allegedly stated, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I’m going to take it.”
Fox News reported that prosecutors have claimed that Robinson and Twiggs also exchanged text messages following Kirk’s assassination. In response to Twiggs asking, “You weren’t the one who did it right????” Robinson allegedly wrote, “I am, I’m sorry.”
