Law enforcement officials have released videos and pictures of a “person of interest” in Saturday’s mass shooting at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, which left two students dead and nine students injured. The release of the videos and pictures comes as officials continue to search for the person responsible for the mass shooting.

Sharing a picture in a Tuesday post on X, formerly Twitter, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) field office in Boston announced that it was “releasing a new image of a person of interest in the mass shooting at Brown University on 12/13/25.” The FBI noted that it is offering up to a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual responsible for Saturday’s mass shooting at Brown University.

The FBI urged anyone with information regarding the person of interest to notify the FBI at http://tips.fbi.gov or to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or the Providence Police Department at 401-272-3121.

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha told MS NOW on Tuesday that the “enhanced photograph” of the person of interest marks a “major step forward” in the attempt to identify the individual featured in the picture.

Prior to the release of the enhanced picture on Tuesday, the FBI released multiple pictures on social media of the person of interest on Monday.

An enhanced video of the person of interest was shared Tuesday afternoon by the Providence Police Department. “We are releasing an enhanced video of the person of interest in the Brown University incident,” the department stated. “Footage was captured on the East Side of Providence on Saturday afternoon before the incident.”

In the video, the person of interest can be seen walking down the streets in a residential area prior to Saturday’s mass shooting. The person of interest can also be seen wearing a black beanie hat, a black mask, and dark clothes.

Fox News reported that law enforcement officials confirmed on Monday that the suspect responsible for Saturday’s shooting incident “definitely targeted” Brown University.

“What I can tell you is that this individual definitely targeted Brown University,” Chief Colonel Oscar L. Perez, Jr. told reporters during a Monday news conference. “Obviously, it’s something we’re looking into, as far as if there was anything else that he was targeting.”
