President Donald Trump announced that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman “wants to be part of the Abraham Accords” following a meeting with the Saudi crown prince at the White House on Tuesday.

Addressing reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday following the meeting, Trump indicated that the two world leaders had discussed the possibility of Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords, which is the historic diplomatic deal the president oversaw between Israel and multiple Arab nations in the Middle East during his first administration.

Highlighting bin Salman’s position regarding Saudi Arabia potentially joining the Abraham Accords, Trump told reporters, “He wants to be part of the Abraham Accords.”

“We’ve had a very good talk on the Abraham Accords,” Trump said. “I think you have a very good feeling toward the Abraham Accords.”

The president explained that the two leaders would continue to hold discussions on the Abraham Accords in the future.

In response to Trump’s comments, bin Salman said, “Yes, definitely, Mr. President. We want peace for the Israelis, we want peace for the Palestinians. We want them to coexist peacefully in the region. We will do our best to reach that day.”

The Saudi crown prince later added, “We want to be part of the Abraham Accords, but we want also to be sure that we secure a clear path of [a] two-state solution.”

According to The Post Millennial, Trump described both Israel and Saudi Arabia as “great allies” of the United States during Tuesday’s meeting at the White House and confirmed that the United States will sell F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia under a deal similar to a deal the U.S. has with Israel.

“As far as I’m concerned, I think they are both at a level where they should get top-of-the-line F-35s,” Trump stated.

Trump also highlighted the commitment Saudi Arabia has made to invest in the U.S. economy and thanked bin Salman for the anticipated investment.

“I want to thank you because you’ve agreed to invest $600 billion into the United States, and because he’s my friend, he might make it a trillion, but I’m gonna have to work on him,” Trump said. “We can count on $600 billion, but that number could go up a little bit higher.”

Following Trump’s announcement that Saudi Arabia would be investing roughly $600 billion into the United States, bin Salman told the president that his country is planning to increase the investment to $1 trillion.

“So you’re saying to me now that $600 billion will be $1 trillion?” Trump asked. In response, bin Salman said, “Definitely, because what we are signing will facilitate that.” The Saudi crown prince added that the increased investment is due to the fact that the United States is currently the “most hottest country on the planet.”
