GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Two West Michigan mental health services are merging this fall.
Behavioral Resources And Institute for Neuropsychological Services, also known as BRAINS, will be integrated into Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services on Oct. 27. Pine Rest CEO and President Mark Eastburg said the partnership will help strengthen specialized services like assessment, counseling and applied behavior analysis therapy.
BRAINS, which has operated in West Michigan for nearly 20 years, will keep part of its name as “BRAINS, A Service of Pine Rest†and continue operations out of its office on East Beltline Avenue near 3 Mile Road in Grand Rapids Township.
Michael Wolff, co-owner of BRAINS, said joining Pine Rest will help the organization continue its mission while letting staff focus on providing high-quality assessments and services. It will also connect families to all of Pine Rest’s services.
“Healthcare is increasingly complex, and partnerships like this are essential for sustaining and growing critical services,†Eastburg wrote in a release. “By bringing BRAINS into Pine Rest, we’re ensuring that resources are better aligned, duplication is reduced, and families experience a more accessible path to the care they need.â€
