WAVERLY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman who had been reported missing Tuesday after walking away from a Paw Paw-area home was found in a swamp, Michigan State Police said.

Daisy Hoffman, 83, was found in a swamp almost a mile from a home on 35th Street north of 44th Avenue in Waverly Township where she was last seen walking off around 1 p.m. She was spotted by the MSP helicopter, troopers said.

Police said Hoffman is OK.
