BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — The United States Air Force Thunderbirds arrive at The Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival Thursday.

The squadron will fly in just after 5:30 p.m. and do some circle and arrival maneuvers to get checkpoints. They’ll land around 6:15, the air show said.

A “warm-up” show will also happen Thursday, featuring civilian acts and some pyrotechnics.

“Never say never, but some military may squeak in,” wrote a Field of Flight spokesperson in a news release.

By July 4, the full blown air shows are happening, featuring the Thunderbirds, the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, United States Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet RHINO Demo Team and the United States Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demo Team, according to the Air Show.

Some new acts will also make appearances, such as the “Jack Aces,” the NextGen Eagles and the Volar Aviation TTP38, a 2/3 scale home-built P-38 Lightning, amid others.

The shows continue through the weekend, ending with a concert Sunday  night.
