MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WOOD) — A young man died after a shooting in Muskegon Heights Tuesday afternoon, police say.
The Muskegon Heights Police Department says it was first called just after 4:30 p.m. to the area of Dyson Street and Howell Avenue on reports of armed people. Other 911 callers soon reported hearing 20 shots fired and then people running a couple blocks away at Hume Avenue and Jarman Street.
When police arrived, they soon found an injured 21-year-old Muskegon Heights man about a block away on McIlwraith north of Hume. The man was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
His name was not released Wednesday.
Police say they have not identified any suspects.
