GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Michigan Attorney General’s Office says it executed multiple search warrants related to the Twin Flames Universe on Tuesday.

The Twin Flames Universe is operated by Jeff and Shaleia Divine in Leelanau County. It has come under heavy scrutiny after a series of documentaries. The organization offers a special test that can help people find their “ultimate lover and eternal spiritual complement.”

Several formal members have called Twin Flames Universe a cult. Insiders say some people simply pay for the classes and walk away. But others dive deeper into a private series called the Twin Flame Ascension School which can require thousands of dollars. Some members step even further and take jobs with TFU as “ascension coaches.”

TFU has been featured in multiple documentaries, including a series on Prime Video called “Desperately Seeking Soulmate: Escaping Twin Flames Universe” and one on Netflix, “Escaping Twin Flames.”

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel did not dive into details of the investigation or what possible charges they are exploring.

“Today, my office executed multiple search warrants upon individuals atop the Twin Flames Universe organization and its associated properties, under the authority of a judge finding probable cause that crimes have been committed by TFU and their leadership,” Nessel said in a statement.

“Anyone with information about potential criminal conduct regarding Twin Flames Universe, or their members, are encouraged to contact my office, and may do so anonymously.”

According to Nessel, agents from the U.S. Department of Labor and law enforcement officers with Michigan State Police, the Leelanau County Sheriff’s office and the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office helped execute the search warrants.
